Foundations classes build overall strength, coordination, balance, flexibility, and core stability while focusing on the Pilates movement principles utilizing Pilates equipment (reformer, chair, step barrel, tower). In this class we move at a thoughtful pace to gain the skills of foundational (level 1) exercises, along with mastering pre-Pilates exercises. There will be a few level 2 exercises thrown in for good fun! 

If new to Pilates apparatus, four intro series small group classes or three privates are required before attending Level 1 classes. If new to PLS yet have some experience on Pilates apparatus, Level 1 classes are a good way to start. Participants with a minor injury are welcome, however please know your limitations and take the alternative exercises offered when necessary.
