This invigorating multi-level class combines traditional and contemporary Pilates exercises with strategically placed cardio intervals using the jumpboard, bosu, and sitting box. The jumpboard is a fun piece of Pilates equipment that is placed near the reformer’s footbar so you can “hop” while being 100% supported on the carriage. The bosu balance trainer develops balance, core strength, and is used for fun cardio sequences that are lower impact. The intensity is higher than regular Pilates apparatus classes, but because of the style of exercises all movements can be modified to suit most abilities. This class will strengthen your entire body, as well as, get your heart rate up. Because of the faster pace clients who regularly attend Intermediate TWO (level 3) and Advanced (level 4) classes will feel most successful in this class, however a strong Intermediate ONE (level 2) client would also enjoy this class. Need to change equipment quickly, feel comfortable standing on wooden platform during side splits and lunges, and feel comfortable balancing on Reformer in kneeling position.
