Advanced classes work at a very challenging level and are perfect for experienced participants who can change equipment settings swiftly. Not every client needs to aspire to the advanced class, as a much greater level of muscular control and connection is required. Need to know the foundational and intermediate exercises well as less explanation is given to keep a strong flowing pace. Advanced exercises will have more explanation and demonstration to learn effective form. Depending on the theme of the class, benefit from using a variety of Pilates Apparatus: Reformer, Wunda Chair, Arm Chair, Tower, Spine Corrector, Small Barrel, Low Mat with strap and handles, along with classical Pilates props: Toe Corrector, Foot Corrector, Breath-a-cizer, Pilates balls, Pilates rings, and Bean Bag Roll Up Device. Approval is needed before attending Advanced classes for the first time, please connect with Amy for advice. Need to feel comfortable standing on wooden platform during side split and lunges, as well as, kneeling on the reformer. It is recommended to stick to Foundations and perhaps Intermediate classes for those with an acute injury.
